Power Rangers Reboot In The Works At Paramount

Hasbro, which purchased the property from founder Haim Saban at 2018, is producing the characteristic via its film arm, Allspark Pictures.

Lionsgate produced and released a characteristic in 2017 which rebooting the name, making it and giving it a more brooding YA border.

The expectation was that the movie would become a fresh new franchise for Lionsgate however when it bombed, grossing only $142 million worldwide on a budget of about $100 million, plans were scrapped for a sequel and the rights were shot back on the market.

The was a popular’90s TV series included a group of children who become superheroes.

The show included a picture and first aired in the 2000s on stations, then on Fox Kids.

Paramount Pictures is in early negotiations with Jonathan Entwistle, who is best known for his Netflix series to create a new take on Power Rangers for its studio.

Paramount recently acquired the rights tapped Patrick Burleigh, who wrote the forthcoming Peter Rabbit 2.

The Runaway, to pen the script.

The next Netflix series he co-created, exec produced and directed. He is repped by CAA, Grandview and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Werthemier Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein.

Burleigh is repped by UTA and Kaplan/Perone Entertainment and also recently was a story consultant on Ant-Man and the Wasp.
